This memo will serve as a preliminary introduction to our firm, John R. Hamalainen Engineering Ltd.
This consulting engineering firm, was established in 1987 and is centrally located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
 The primary markets we service are:
Commercial Industrial Institutional Government
The company does not seek to provide good services, but outstanding services. The difference in effort to provide outstanding results is small compared to the difference in outcome. The best metaphor we can think of related to this point is athletes. Look at what a small difference in results makes to a baseball player who gets one extra hit out of ten or the difference hundredths of a second make to a runner. The point here is a small difference in effort makes a huge difference in results, that is what we are seeking to achieve.
 We are also committed to the concept of "CANI," CONSTANT AND NEVER ENDING IMPROVEMENT. We are devoted to achieving better and better results. No matter how well we have performed we can always do better.

Our professional staff is also extremely competent and confident. Our approach to an assignment is not if we can do it, but what is the most effective way of achieving the results our clients are seeking. Professional engineering staff consists of John Hamalainen, P.Eng, 27 years experience and Dave Wells, P.Eng, 43 years experience. Combined with three technologists, our technical team is ready to take on any challenge.
Speaking of results, our list of projects and clients speaks for itself. We have been involved with projects ranging in size from several thousand dollars to as high as $45 million. We take on each project with the same enthusiasm no matter what the size knowing behind each project are individuals who are all equally important.
Finally technology. No other single factor has made such a difference in the quality of services provided than technology.  It is absolutely incredible how the effective use of technology can produce results that less than a decade ago would not have been practical to achieve due to time factors. Our firm is constantly staying abreast of the latest technical developments in mechanical and electrical engineering, CAD systems, office automation, global technical data bases and computer systems. We recently purchased a Xerox M24 Document Centre capable of scanning, faxing, printing, photocopying and emailing in color or black and white up to 12" x 18". Clients can have documents scanned and emailed directly to them in minutes.
In summary, we firmly believe through services provided,  our firm can enhance the quality of life of our clients and those around them. We are committed to achieving results beyond your expectations and attracting clients repeatedly based on our achievements.
