LIGHTING SYSTEM RETROFITS VARIOUS GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS
    Client: Ontario Realty Corporation, Sudbury
Project: Conduct lighting system audit and energy saving calculations followed by the preparation of engineering design, drawings and specifications to retrofit 26 government buildings throughout Northeastern Ontario.  Total value of construction $850,000.

MAKE UP AIR SYSTEM REPLACEMENT 720 BRUCE STREET
    Client: Greater Sudbury Housing Authority
Project: This project consisted of examining various heat recovery schemes to replace a large make up air system for a 14 storey apartment building.  The option chosen was a solar wall that preheats the make up air.

MARKSTAY WARREN ARENA ENERGY AUDIT & BOILER UPGRADES
    Client: Municipality of Markstay Warren
Project: This project consisted of an energy audit to identify various energy conserving measures for a 25,000 square foot, community arena and banquet hall.  One of the measures, to change the heating boilers and hot water storage tanks was adapted right away because of the favourable payback periods.

BEN AVERY PHYSICAL EDUCATION COMPLEX ENERGY RECOVERY INVESTIGATION
    Client: Laurentian University
Project: This project consisted of examining various heat recovery schemes for the main floor office area and gym as a result of increased ventilation loads to improve indoor air quality.  Also included was a novel approach to include adiabatic cooling for the summer months.

RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEM FOR MISERY BAY INTERPRETIVE SYSTEM, MANITOULIN ISLAND
    Client: Ontario Parks
Project: This project consisted of examining various renewable energy systems consisting of wind and photovoltaic.  The client decided to proceed with the detailed design and construction of a 20 kW photovoltaic system that meets all of the electrical needs for the building.  A wind component is planned for the future to complement the photovoltaic component.

    INDUSTRIAL REPAIR SHOP ENERGY AUDIT
    Client: Secoroc/Atlas Copco
Project: Formally used as a rolling mill to produce coinage for the Canadian mint, this building was converted to an industrial repair shop and offices.  As a rolling mill, energy efficiency wasn’t a consideration because of the excess process heat produced.  Energy consumption for the new use was excessive and an energy audit was ordered to come up with ways to reduce consumption.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR CIVIC SQUARE COMPLEX
    Client: Regional Municipality of Sudbury
Project: Mechanical/electrical design, drawings and specifications for a direct digital control system (DDC) and audit for a 300,000 ft2 municipal building.
